WireWrite reads WorkSafe New Zealand's official RSS feed and pulls in electrical-related safety alerts. WorkSafe is New Zealand's primary workplace health and safety regulator and the authoritative source for industry safety notices. WireWrite doesn't write or edit alert content — each item links straight to WorkSafe's full article for the full official text.

How often do safety alerts refresh?

WireWrite checks WorkSafe's feed once a day and pulls in any new alerts. If you open the Safety Alerts page mid-day you'll see whatever was current at the most recent daily fetch. WorkSafe themselves typically publish new alerts every few weeks, so daily polling is more than fast enough.

Why don't I see every WorkSafe alert in the list?

WireWrite filters WorkSafe's feed to only show electrical-relevant alerts. The filter looks for keywords like electrical, electrocution, switchboard, cable, voltage, RCD, mains, conductor, arc flash, and similar electrical-trade terms. Alerts about scaffolding, asbestos, or other non-electrical hazards are filtered out so the page stays focused on what affects your work.

How long do alerts stay visible in WireWrite?

Alerts are kept for 90 days. After that they're automatically removed from the WireWrite list to keep the feed current. WorkSafe's own archive stays available — the date stamps and titles in WireWrite link straight to the original article so the older alerts remain accessible directly from worksafe.govt.nz.

Can I open the full WorkSafe alert article?

Yes. Every alert in the WireWrite list shows the title, publication date and source, and tapping it opens WorkSafe's official article in a new tab. WireWrite is a delivery channel — the authoritative content stays on worksafe.govt.nz.
